Present in BMW vehicles manufactured between 2010 and 2021, this engine ECU commonly suffers from internal component failure, leading to vehicle misfires. During diagnostic scans of the vehicle, fault codes related to cylinder misfires, such as 29CF indicating misfire detection in cylinder 1 and 29D1 indicating misfire detection in cylinder 3, may be identified.
